Guidlines for Applications
The deadline date in printed on each application form. Applications are recommended to be typed, if not, they must be printed legibly in a black ink, so it can be easily reproduced for Board review. Applications must be mailed or hand delivered. Faxed copies will not be accepted, since they are hard to reproduce.
The Caring Consumer’s Board usually meets within 10 days of the application deadline. All applicants will be notified of the status of their request, either by a phone call or in writing.
The Board reviews each application and tries to fund applications that will produce the greatest impact for the largest number of people. Individual applications must demonstrate that the monies received will be a life altering reward to assist in returning to financial or emotional well-being. Grants are normally funded to a maximum of $500. The largest single amount funded was $1,650.
Restrictions:
- No application will be considered for funding payments of utility bills (i.e. gas, water, phone, electric, sewer etc.)
- No application will be considered for funding for operational costs.
- No application will be considered for funding for dental costs.
- Child care centers in Routt County must make applications through First Impressions and not individually.
- Applications for non-funded school sports related grants will be accepted, but will be rated a low priority.
