Yampa Valley Electric employs 65 personnel on a full-time basis at its two offices in Craig and Steamboat Springs. The Association has been fortunate to have a stable work force and does not experience significant turnover in personnel. The positions most frequently filled are that of journeyman lineman and consumer accounts clerk. YVEA accepts applications for those positions at any time.

Current job postings: Yampa Valley Electric seeks applicants for the position of Engineering Manager. Responsibilities include the direction and administration of departments engaged in electric system design, construction, maintenance and operation. The Association offers a competitive wage and benefits package including vacation, sick and holiday leaves, NRECA 401K, defined pension plan and a Group Health Plan.
The successful Engineering candidates should have eight years’ experience in electrical engineering and general management and have a PE that is transferable to Colorado within six months. Applicants must display experience in computer applications and personal computers.
