The Annual Meeting of Members of Yampa Valley Electric Association, Inc. will be held at YVEA Steamboat Springs campus, 2211 Elk River Road, Steamboat Springs, CO 80487, on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 to take the following action on the following matters:
- Hearing and taking action on reports of officers, directors, and committees;
- To elect three (3) directors*;
2025 Director Districts and Candidates Are:
District #4: Craig, CO: Steven Booker (incumbent, uncontested)
District #5: Hayden, CO: Patrick Delaney (incumbent, uncontested)
District #7: Steamboat Springs, CO: Chad Garrett (candidate, uncontested)
- The transaction of such other business as may properly come before the meeting.
*In the event that no contest has been created by nominating petitions properly made and timely filed and the election of the sole nominees is assured because no other nominations can be made, then in accordance with Article III, Section 3 of Association Bylaws, the election of directors shall automatically be dispensed with and the sole nominees shall be deemed elected.

New this year, YVEA will offer a live virtual Annual Meeting in addition to the in-person meeting. In members’ SmartHub accounts, there is a registration link in the alerts on the home page. When you click on the link, you will be taken to a Microsoft Teams page with details on the meeting and a registration button. Please ensure the name and email you enter match the one on file with YVEA.
Once registered, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to the meeting.
Here are things members will be able to do during the meeting:
- Make a public comment.

- Once we open the meeting up to public comment, we will have in-person attendees before allowing virtual attendees to make public comments.
- Rules for public comments:

- Attendees will click the “raise hand button,” and moderators will call on the attendee before unmuting their mic.
- Public comments shall be no longer than 5 minutes long and are welcome only during the Public Comment section of the agenda.
- Comments must be courteous and given only after the presiding Board officer has recognized the speaker. The Board will not act or decide on matters spoken of during Public Comment at that meeting.
- If comments do not adhere to these guidelines, YVEA reserves the right to disable video or audio of the participant.

The YVEA 2025 Annual Meeting of Members will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at the YVEA Steamboat Springs campus at 2211 Elk River Road, Steamboat Springs, CO 80487. Doors open at 2:00 p.m., meeting registration begins at 3:00 p.m., and the meeting will be called to order at 3:30 p.m.
