Over the past three years, Xcel has made significant investments to upgrade and modernize their electric system. Xcel has spent significant money in large projects, like Colorado’ Power Pathways, as well as spending a significant amount of money related to wildfire preparedness. This has included upgrading electrical infrastructure and using new technology, like cameras, improved risk modeling systems, and drones to help detect wildfires sooner.
