Trust

When your lights go out, you place a lot of trust in us to get them back on. There are difficult decisions that we as a company need to make, and we rely on your trust to move forward with what can be a difficult decision to make.
At Yampa Valley Electric Association, we don’t take your trust for granted. We know that, as hard as we’ve worked to gain it, it is just as important as trust for us to lose it. We have worked to improve our reliability, our commitment to maintaining and improving our infrastructure, and our goal of maintaining consistent communication with our members.
Everything we do comes back to trust.
We want members to trust us because:
•The power stays on.
•Crews show up.
•Calls get answered.
•Safety comes first.
But trust also means something bigger going forward.
As energy gets more complex, members are looking for clarity.
Straight answers.
Steady guidance.
YVEA wants to earn our members' trust so we can be the source of truth. A trusted partner to the community. When you have questions about your electricity, about solar, or about whether a cold-climate heat pump will work for your home, we want to be the clear, consistent voice for our members.
News and government policies can be incredibly overwhelming, and it can be difficult to know where to turn for an honest opinion. Our goal is to be that trusted advisor for our members so that when they have tough questions, we are here to listen and help. This is why you’ll see us out in the community, because we want to hear your questions and concerns, and we want you to trust that what you’re hearing from us is a fair, balanced answer.
By creating a clear brand strategy, we will continue to work to earn and build that trust with each member.
Now that we have all the building blocks in place, we want to introduce you to our new mission, vision, and values.
