Red Flag Warning

A Red Flag Warning has been issued for Moffat and Carbon Counties for March 25th. On Wednesday morning, we will assemble crews and will activate our system in Fire Protection Mode (FPM). When we are in this more sensitive mode, members may use their electricity as normal. Unless there is an actual outage, they will not notice an interruption in service. If there is an outage during FPM, members can anticipate longer-duration outages as we will need to inspect the entire line to ensure it is free of trees and combustibles.

Given the area's lack of moisture, we anticipate Red Flag warnings being issued for spring, summer, and fall. Based on feedback from last summer, we will not overwhelm members with phone calls and emails every time we move in and out of FPM. Members should anticipate that whenever a Red Flag Warning is issued, we will move into this FPM.

Throughout the summer, we will post updated information on Red Flag Warnings being issued on our website and Facebook page. Thank you for your understanding as we work to keep our communities safe.
