YVEA Deenergizing Maybell Substation Due to Wildfire
August 7th, 2024 – Due to a wildfire in the area, Yampa Valley Electric Association is deenergizing our Maybell Substation. This outage impacts Maybell, Elk Springs, Sunbeam, Lookout Mountain, and surrounding areas. This outage impacts roughly 300 members. YVEA is deenergizing these lines for the safety of fire crews and our members. Members who are without power should plan for an extended outage, and we will be providing updates on our website and Facebook as information comes from emergency officials and crews.
