- Be a high school senior
- Be accepted into an undergraduate degree program at any two or four-year university, college, vocational or technical school
- Live in a primary residence served by YVEA
- Complete the scholarship application and answer the three essay questions
- Be able to provide proof of acceptance to above listed educational institution
Awards are based on submitted essay responses. Those essays will be evaluated based on content, originality, and structure/grammar.
Scholarship recipients may be asked to submit a photo, answer questions for YVEA’s monthly publication, and/or be asked to attend a monthly YVEA board meeting. Please note that inability to meet these requests will not jeopardize the recipient’s ability to receive the awarded scholarship.
Scholarships are now being run through the Yampa Valley Community Foundation
