The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has lifted the Red Flag Warning for Savery, Dixon, and Baggs areas for the night, August, 16. Currently there is no warning predicted for tomorrow, and our plan is to return our system to normal mode this evening.
Due to a Red Flag Warning being issued, YVEA will be placing our system into a safer Fire Protection Mode until 8 pm tonight.
Due to loss of a transmission feed, the Town of Hayden and surrounding areas are without power. Crews are working to restore power.
Due to a wildfire outside of Lay, YVEA has made the decision to deenergize our Maybell Substation. Members should prepare for an extended outage.

At 11 am, YVEA will be putting our systems into Fire Protection Mode for Moffat County, Savery, Dixon, Baggs, and now Trough Road in South Routt. Emails and/or auto calls are being sent out to impacted members with this message.
